Chicago, Illinois - The Chicago Greet - 2008 Trip

The Chicago Greeter program provides a free guide to visitors to tour a neighborhood chosen from a list.  There are also theme tours.  The guide provides history and context for the neighborhood over a two to four hour time period.  The program provides a mass transit pass and all travel to and around the neighborhood is on public transportation and foot.  Taking a tour guided by a Chicago Greeter is a fun and interesting way to explore a particular neighborhood and spend time with someone familiar with Chicago.
