Four Seasons in Rome by Anthony Doerr

Another triumph for Anthony Doerr! This book makes the reader long to visit Rome, empathize with Doerr's homesickness for Boise, feel the uncertainty of being new parents and doing it without the support system of home. He also provides an insight - almost uncomfortably real - into the writing process. Beautifully written!
